On Monday, Jan. 30, the Oceanside Unified School District is upgrading to a new Notification System called SchoolMessenger. The new notification system will replace ParentLink. The new system allows schools to contact parents and families in a more efficient and timely manner. The new system also allows parents and families the option of managing how they receive calls and information from their child’s school.

Free ACT and SAT Practice Tests at Library

The Oceanside Public Library is hosting practice ACT and SAT testing, administered by the Princeton Review, to high school students this March. You'll learn about the endurance and skills needed to get top scores.  How will you score?  Find out by taking a full length ACT and SAT practice test given under the same testing conditions as the actual exams.  Registration is required to participate in the practice tests and can be done by visiting the library or calling 760-435-5600.

VANS DESIGN COMPETITION!

THE VANS COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ALL CURRENT EL CAMINO H.S. STUDENTS. EACH STUDENT OR TEAM OF STUDENTS ARE CHALLENGED TO COME UP WITH AN INNOVATIVE DESIGN FOR A VANS SHOE. WINNERS OF THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN WILL BE GIVEN A PAIR OF SHOES TO DESIGN.

PICK UP THE VANS DESIGN SHOE TEMPLATE FROM MR. CASIAS, I801. MR. CASIAS’ ROOM WILL ALSO BE AVAILBLE FOR STUDENTS TO WORK ON THE COMPETITION AT LUNCH ON TUESDAYS AND AFTER SCHOOL ON MONDAYS. MR. DE LA LUZ IS AVAILABLE ON WEDNESDAYS AFTER SCHOOL.

DUE DATES:
PRELIMINARY DESIGNS DUE FRIDAY MARCH 3RD.
FINAL VOTING FOR PRELIMINARY DESIGNS MARCH 8TH AT 3PM.

Free College Day at CSUSM

CSU San Marcos is hosting a free “College Is For Me” conference on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 9 am to 1 pm. 

 

The conference is for middle/high school students and their families.  This conference is an opportunity for people who have never considered college to learn how higher education can be a means for self-empowerment. The day will include breakout sessions on various college related topics. 

 

Please register for the event, so they have a headcount for breakfast, lunch, and t-shirts.
