Body Dynamics and PE 9A
Body Dynamics is designed to improve the students overall fitness and wellness, to improve a variety of exercises and education. The implementation of resistance exercises, cardiovascular endurance will be utilized. Students will participate in group instruction, of step/sculpt, kickboxing, pilates, yoga, circuit training, weight training, boot camp, and outdoor walk/run. Body composition measurements will be taken at the beginning and end of the course.
PE 9A course will incorporate concepts necessary for a lifetime of fitness and health. Students will meet twice a week for classroom instruction and 3 days per week participating in a variety of physical activities. Students will be able to appy movement skills in a variety of individual activities. Students will asses personal fitness, compare results to health standards, and set goals for maintenance and improvement. They will understand body type, gender differences, and age in relation to developmentally appropriate movement activities.
