Hello Wildcat Families!

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year here at El Camino High School where the sun always shines in Wildcat Country!  As a proud member of the Oceanside community, a graduate of OUSD schools, and the parent of two students who attend OUSD schools, this wonderful and diverse city of Oceanside means so much to me!  I am honored and blessed to have been a part of the educational journey of so many scholars for the past 26 years, and I look forward to another amazing school year.

I am so excited to have all of our scholars back on campus.  Your students are the reason I love coming to work every single day!  Meeting new students, hearing their dreams and their goals, and seeing them make such academic growth throughout the school year is awesome!

This year, we are excited to roll out our El Camino Core Values – PERRC Up, Wildcats!  They were developed by our staff who went through a process last school year. Also, a small group of students provided input and feedback regarding the core values. Finally, parents who attended my Coffee with the Principal sessions in April and May got a “sneak peek” of our new core values.

You may be wondering why core values are important. These core values are the things we, as a Wildcat community, believe are most important in the way we live and work. Our core values are how we will act and interact with one another to ensure that we educate every student who steps onto our campus and they graduate from us as well-prepared students ready to engage in their next stage of life, whether it be directly into a career, the military, or post-secondary education.

The foundation of a successful education for students is built on a partnership between home and school. Please encourage your student to be on time daily and give their best EFFORT every day – their future depends on it!
