    At this time, OUSD will not be hosting any SAT or ACT exams until further notice. We do not have a definite date for the next SAT or ACT exams. Please continue to check ECHS's website for update

    Join us for the 1st ever Careers in Community Service mini-conference presented by the San Diego County Office of Education taking place virtually Tuesday, March 16 - Thursday, March 18.

    Christian Gomez, a senior at El Camino High School, was recently recognized by the College Board National Hispanic Recognition Program for his scores on the October 2019 PSAT/NMSQT exam.  Christian's achievement on this exam placed him in "the top 2.5% of all students nationwide who identified themselves as one or more of the following: African American, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous or who attend a school in a rural area or are from a small town."  Congratulations, Christian! We are all so proud of you!!!



    About Our School

    El Camino was established in 1975 and was originally named “Oceanside High School East”. It officially became El Camino High School in 1976.   Students have a full range of academic, extra-curricular, and co-curricular opportunities.

    Vision Statement: Students and staff work together to develop a community where diversity, acceptance, and tradition are respected and our students will graduate as lifelong learners prepared for life after graduation and for active citizenship in a global, technological-based society.

    Mission Statement: The mission of El Camino High School is to foster an inclusive, challenging environment that creates a clear educational path for all students. Our focus is to create well-rounded, contributing citizens who value others, think critically, act responsibly, create and collaborate with others, and effectively share their ideas while respecting the ideas of others.
